Platform payouts are being restructured
TikTok's Creator Fund is gone, replaced by a Rewards Programme on platform-defined terms. Snapchat launched paid creator subscriptions in February 2026. Every platform is moving the same direction, replacing free organic reach with gated, platform-controlled monetisation. Your audience is yours. The distribution is not.

The pattern across every platform is the same: the middle man is not disappearing, it is multiplying. TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Google, OpenAI, each one sitting between you and your audience, extracting a toll and changing the terms whenever it suits them. The creators who will thrive are the ones who own their audience relationship directly and have infrastructure to distribute at scale without depending on any single platform's algorithm or payout decision.
